Blue Sage Culinary Arts, is the first private chef service in Santa Maria for 'busy' families.  We create personalized menus for people with special dietary needs, and provide private chef services to ensure quality meals.  Our Alternative Diet Consultation Program™ will provide information on caloric intake, water to body mass, and a free Menu Makeover™ service as part of our Personal Chef division.  Our Private Chef division is for special events and parties.  We also offer cooking classes, wine tasting, and food party demonstrations in any selected cuisine of your choice.  Take a minute to check out our website, enter our monthly "free apron" drawing or have our free informational flyers sent to your house.  The head of our staff, Chef Michael Funkhouser, is a recipient of the Grand Diploma de Le Cordon Bleu. Michael is also a member of the American Culinary Federation and is studying to become a master Semolinier. He attended Southern California School of Culinary Arts in Pasadena, California where he learned nutrition, wine service, health and history of food; all of which are a great asset to our services here at Blue Sage. He has worked with world famous chefs like Nobu Matsuhida, Wolfgang Puck and Julia Child (also a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu) . Other chefs he has worked with include: Alton Brown (from Good Eats), Mario Batali (from Molto Mario), Kathleen Daelemans and Susan Feniger (from the Hot Tamales).
